What’s new in Breadcrumbs Uncomplicated
The bigger features and improvements, newest first. Each entry is tied to the app version it shipped in. Routine fixes and maintenance aren’t listed.
More accurate breadcrumbs (v2.13.3, May 2026)
A single category can no longer appear more than once in the same breadcrumb trail, so trails read cleanly even on deeply nested menus. The Category Advisor also now flags duplicate category URLs so you can find and fix menu problems before customers see them.
Works on translated and international storefronts (v2.13.0, May 2026)
Breadcrumbs now render correctly on translated storefronts with Shopify
Markets URLs (for example /en/, /fr/ and country-prefixed paths),
so customers in any language or market see the correct trail.
Cleaner URLs and consistent schema (v2.11.0, March 2026)
Removed the trailing slash on the Home breadcrumb, and the JSON-LD now always matches what’s shown on the page (the product is included when the product title is displayed), so search engines get consistent structured data.
Rebuilt on Shopify’s modern admin components (v2.10.26, January 2026)
The in-app screens were migrated to Shopify Polaris Web Components, so the admin is faster, more stable, and matches the current Shopify look and feel.
Server-side rendered breadcrumbs (v2.10.0, November 2025)
Breadcrumbs are now rendered on the server with no storefront JavaScript. They appear instantly with no layout shift, work even if scripts are blocked, and are fully visible to search engines.
Named breadcrumb schema for richer search results (v2.8.0, September 2025)
The JSON-LD BreadcrumbList now includes a proper name for each level instead of an unnamed item, so Google can show a clearer category path in search results for your store.
