Frequently asked questions
What does Zoomy Collections do?
It adds a zooming, high-resolution slideshow of your product images to every collection page. Customers see the products in each collection up close, and each image links straight to the corresponding product, helping them discover items they would otherwise scroll past.
Do I need to upload separate images for the slideshow?
No. Zoomy Collections uses the Shopify Collections and product images you already have - so there is nothing new to duplicate or upload. Add a product to a collection and it shows up in the slideshow automatically.
Does it require any code or theme changes?
No. Zoomy Collections installs as a Shopify Theme App Extension, so you place it through the Theme Editor on the Default Collection template. There is no HTML, CSS or Liquid to write.
Will it work on every collection page?
Yes. Once you place the embed on the Default Collection template, every collection page picks it up automatically. You can override the placement for specific collections in the Theme Editor if you want different behaviour on a particular collection.
Is it mobile-friendly?
Yes. The slideshow is responsive: it resizes for narrower viewports and respects touch interactions so customers can swipe through products on a phone.
Which themes are supported?
All modern Online Store 2.0 themes via drag-and-drop in the Shopify Theme Editor. Older 1.0 (“vintage”) themes are supported with an embed - see the Vintage themes guide.
Is it multilingual?
Yes, in two distinct ways. The app’s own admin interface (settings, labels, instructions) is available in English, Spanish, German and French. Separately, the slideshow rendered on your storefront uses the product titles and images from your Shopify catalogue, so it follows whichever languages your store supports through Shopify Translate & Adapt - a Japanese, Polish or any other store gets a fully localized slideshow, even though the app’s admin interface itself only ships in the four languages above.
How do I get it on my Shopify store?
Install it from the Shopify App Store - see the App Store listing for current pricing, plans and trial details, and to add it to your store with one click.
